Meet Vidette Adjorlolo
Vidette Adjorlolo is the Founder of Sorted Chale, an award-winning African travel startup dedicated to creating authentic and local experiences across Africa. Leveraging technology, Sorted Chale connects the world to Africa's unique tourism opportunities by advertising local vendors and providing seamless travel experiences.After beginning her career in digital banking at HSBC and leading the UK's first commercially viable solution for Open Banking, Vidette resigned from her role in 2020 and relocated from Hong Kong to Ghana to launch Sorted Chale. Since then, she has been recognized as a pivotal figure in Africa's tourism industry.
Under Vidette's leadership, Sorted Chale was awarded Best Tourism Startup of 2023. Vidette has also been acknowledged by the President of Ghana for her contributions to the tourism space, having helped thousands of people in the diaspora reconnect with their roots in Africa.
A Schwarzman Scholar, Powerlist Foundation Top 60 Scholar, and lecturer at the African Center Hong Kong, Vidette believes that "not all wanderers are lost" and invites the world to explore Africa with her.
